Описание: The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) in Bengaluru has uncovered a massive GST fraud worth Rs 3,200 crore and arrested two individuals involved in the case. A third suspect is still at large. The DGGI’s Bengaluru zonal unit carried out searches across more than 30 locations in Bengaluru and Mumbai, revealing an intricate scam.

The accused set up bogus companies without legitimate operations, engaged in circular trading to artificially inflate their turnover, and listed these companies on stock exchanges. The fraud involved facilitating the availing and passing of fake Input Tax Credit (ITC) totaling Rs 665 crore. The scam's total value, including fake invoices, exceeds Rs 3,200 crore.
