Описание: This video explains operant conditioning, and the confusion many trainers and pet dog owners have about the words that make up the quadrants. The quadrants are a starting place, for new trainers or dog owners. It will help you understand how everything means SOMETHING, and maybe you are accidentally reinforcing a behavior that you don't want-- or punishing a good behavior. This will help make you a more clear DOG PERSON... whether you're a pet dog owner, or dog trainer. There is SO much more to dog training than just the quadrants. Too many trainers focus too much on it, and I believe it's very important to understand the quadrants, then be creative! Remember , if you have to "think" too much as you're training, then your timing will suffer and you're too late! So learn, let go, and be more creative and have fun. I am a play-based trainer. Meaning, I find what my dog loves the MOST. For example, my border collie wants to HERD-- she's highly focused on any prey animal, and the movement of the prey. Through play, I've established myself as being more fun than the sheep/squirrels, etc, so her attention is on ME. Sometimes I even tell people, "I'm her sheep" . Play is the key to successful training, and the way into an animal's psyche-- it's a level of training that's not quite talked about per se in "the quadrants of operant conditioning" - so it's mostly overlooked. I've met so many trainers or pet dog owners that are stuck in the quadrants, and the dogs are bored out of their wits. They click and treat and have no enthusiasm or spirit when training. When you can connect in play, your training will skyrocket. I'll have more posts on play, particularly tug or fetch- but if I had to choose one game, with my border collie, it would be TUG. It was the key to her HEART! She's addicted to ME because I can provide her with a "squirrel" that she can actually "Get". Learn about the quadrants, but don't get STUCK in them-- you'll be a boring trainer! #dog #dogtrainer #dogs #dogbehavior #dogtips #dogobedience #dogtraining #operantconditioning #quadrants #puppy #training #agility #adoptdontshop #puppytraining #doglife #dogmom #gooddog #goodgirl #dogtricks #dogvideos
