Watch the loading of a complete 9-railcar trainset at the Port of Antwerp, carefully secured onboard the MSC Levante Express for shipment to Alexandria.
In this highly complex logistics operation, the 40 tonnes & 22 metre in length railcar, was transported unpacked, requiring precision planning, expert heavy lift handling, and meticulous lashing and securing to ensure a safe sea voyage.
Mohamed Emad, Export Trade & Project Cargo Manager at MSC Egypt, takes us behind the scenes of the operation, sharing insights on how this project was executed.
Upon arrival in Egypt, the trainset will serve the Cairo metro, supporting the daily transportation needs of around 2.5 million passengers.
