"Yeah but its been so long ago my memory is not that great. Before 333 I just made music that sounded pretty. I didnt really think in concepts or whatever or didn't learn critical thinking or conceptual thinking? is that even a thing lol but i didnt do any of that until I guess 333. Every layer I would ask myself why did i do that and step by step eventually ended up recording the entire project. Ah also there was this producer "mindtouch" billy gomez.. i met him in korea and he told me to get on the mpc1000 said that i needed limitation. My grandma also used to say limitation = happiness. I think that was the major turning point at the time coming from ableton daw process to hardware mpc.
I think i titled it 333% because it seemed as tho a 100% wasnt enough or something hahahaha and also i always thought the number 666 wasnt evil or someshit.. i wanted to give it a more a neutral interpretation. I know im probably leaving out a whole lot.. had i answered this fuckin back in 2011 hahahahaha. The main thing I remember tho is my friend had died back in 2010 and i was on a video call with my friend pat (CY) and i was slowing down jazz samples and we both really liked that one. the erroll garner one."
