How To Cancel a Venmo Request

Описание: I’m going to show you how you can check the status of a Venmo payment request to another user, and then how to cancel it.

Recently, I made a video on how to send a payment request. But maybe you settled in person, or another way, and now you want to cancel the request. Here’s how.

Start by opening the Venmo app.

From the home screen here, tap your profile icon on the bottom right.

Once you get to your profile page where you see your wallet, with your account balances, you’ll see transactions here. Choose that.

On the next screen, you’ll see a list of all the Venmo transactions you’ve ever made. This will also include any pending transactions, like unreceived payment requests.

Scroll through the list here and find the payment you want to check on.

If they haven’t paid you yet, but you still want to get paid through the Venmo app, you can hit Remind here. It will then send them a payment reminder and hopefully will nudge them into paying.

But if you want to cancel the payment request, just hit cancel here.

It will then automatically remove the pending request from your transactions.

After that, your payment request will be canceled, and the person you were requesting from will no longer be able to pay it.

But make sure that if you want to cancel the request, you do it before the person starts the payment process. Once they do, you won’t be able to cancel it then. Once a payment starts processing, either way, there’s nothing you can do.

And that’s how you view and cancel payment requests inside the Venmo app.
