How I lost faith in duochromatic makeup | XX REVOLUTION TRY-ON

It took me a while to edit this video, but I ordered a couple bits from the XX Revolution launch and since everyone was trying the glow foundation and the primers I just went for things I wanted to try and didn't really see anyone else try. I didn't order a full face and to be quite honest, the whole range is quite expensive, so I filled the rest of the look with some random makeup bits.

Now to the new makeup impressions. The foundation is very matte and very cakey and I'm not sure that's my kind of vibe right now. I was expecting something quite different from it. At least texture-wise. Also the pump is a little weird and a little broken. The conceaer has very good coverage but it makes my undereyes look awful. I don't know if you can tell on camera but after I powdered the undereye area it looked almost like extra soggy skin under my eyes. I cannot figure out how to get along with this concealer just yet.

The eyeshadow primer is quite nice and I use it very often. I would recommend going for the lighter shade, I got scared by the name "Translucent" but I think it's still tinted and this shade (Basic) is very similar to my skintone. But it still makes the shadows last and pop quite well.

The brow gel is a very basic item and unless it makes my brows really stay in place, I don't really care for it. This one works well in a couple coats but I hate the handle. You cannot even really get into the brow with the product because you're already burrying the handle in your skin. Not well designed.

The liquid eyeshadow was an ultimate fail in my book. In the bottle it looks very nice and duochromatic, but on the skin it just looks green. I wouldn't mind that, it's a nice shade of green. But once you apply it it sheers out like crazy, blends away and just doesn't pack a punch at all. Overall I don't enjoy this look at all and even editing this, I am getting frustrated with this eyeshadow. Get the pot or the liners if you want anything from the duochrome products, don't waste your money on this.

Overall, I'm not very happy with the look and also not that impressed with the products. Maybe next time I'll try the primers and some other bits, but right now I'm not sure that these products are that great.
