This episode features nature photographer Heather Angel.
In 1988 whilst only vaguely interested in photography I recorded onto VHS cassettes a series of episodes of ‘Nocon on Photography. Some of these recordings have since disappeared over the years but I have digitised the ones that I still have for you to watch. Gene Nocon was a photographer and master printer, it is this series that inspired me to become a photographer and in 1989 I bought myself my first 35mm film camera and used a spare closet in my home as my darkroom. It was only in 2017 that I learnt Gene had died 6 years earlier, he was aged just 66 years old. My career as a freelance photographer for the News, Theatre and Music industry lasted from 1990 to 2000 and since then photography has just been a hobby for me.
