Two Army soldiers were killed and two others injured during an overnight gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, as a major anti-terror operation entered its ninth day on Saturday. The encounter, which began on August 1 in the Akhal forest area, has so far resulted in the deaths of two terrorists. The identities of the slain militants remain unknown.
The Army's Chinar Corps paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, Lance Naik Pritpal Singh and Sepoy Harminder Singh, and stated that the operation is ongoing. Drones, helicopters, and para commandos have been deployed to aid in the search and neutralization efforts. Senior Army and police officials are monitoring the situation closely.
