LOCATION: 8th St and Alvarado St
AREA/CITY: Westlake/Macarthur Park
DETAILS:
An SUV struck a pedestrian crossing the street on 8th and Alvarado around 11:30 pm Saturday Night.
The driver, police say, stayed at the scene and was cooperating.
The man who was hit was transported to the hospital, where he died.
LAPD traffic officers are investigating.
A Waymo drove through the scene. Officers tried to stop the Waymo, but they ended up getting out of its way and watched it drive through.
