If you bought a single fair ticket (valid 90 min) on Gothenburg trams or busses, you could continue you’re travels with one of the ferry boats in Gothenburg harbor on the same ticket as long as you start your travel on the ferry before the time for the ticket runs out.
The regular ferryboats (that cost money/Red-Orange flags) go in a loop around the entire harbor with about 7 stops. But between the hub Stenpiren on the mainland and the stop Lindholmen on the Island there is an express ferry that is free (Green flag) which you can take over the water and then it's just a nice stroll by the boardwalks in the sun.
Green flag ferry boats are free and red/Orange ferry boats cost money.
