Councill Trenholm Memorial Award at the NEA’s 2023 Human and Civil Rights Awards Dinner. After a rewarding career teaching English, journalism, and speech in Nebraska, Tanderup became a farmer and has spent the past decade advocating for renewable energy and driving political action as a pipeline fighter, water protector, and tractor crop artist.
