Clausing/Harrison Lathe M250 Upgrade DRO Part One - Getting Ready and setting up cross slide scale.

Описание: We start the long desired, but no action taken DRO upgrade. We will use Igaging scales on two axis to start. We will use Touch DRO to run the application and provide the DRO dipslay with an Android device.

Lots of things to watch out for when setting up the cross slide scale. This is a low cost upgrade and not to be confused with much more expensive DRO options. However, after years of service on my Rockwell Vertical Mill, the Igaging scales and Touch DRO have proven more than capable at delivering great results.

Scale read head fasteners are 3mm for the head to the bracket.

I used 5mm x .08 x 12 socket head screws to fasten the scales to the cross slide. They fit the existing end brackets very well.


So if you are an occasional DIY person who is very tired of using dials or mechanical indicators this might work for you.
