Nach einer schwierigen Anfangsphase in der heimischen MHP Arena geriet Stuttgart durch einen Doppelschlag der Gäste früh in Rückstand. 

Tore für Porto: Terem Moffi (21. Minute) und Rodrigo Mora (27. Minute) sorgten für die 2:0-Führung des FC Porto.

Anschlusstreffer: Deniz Undav erzielte noch vor der Pause den Treffer zum 1:2-Endstand.
