Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit - PS1 - Expert Tournament (Full Tournament, All Races)

Описание: A full playthrough of the expert tournament in Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit. Like the beginner tournament, it's eight, four lap races, against seven opponents. It's my first time playing through the expert tournament.

This is where the game really lives up to it's name, the opponent AI is very difficult to beat and speed is an absolute necessity. Often, I'd smash the record times for the track, but only come third in the race. Thankfully, the points system means you can still win the tournament without placing first each time. Like beginner difficulty, you need to be at least third place in the points ranking after every race to proceed.

I used the car I unlocked in the beginner tournament for this, the Jaguar XJR-15. It's the third best car in the game, with top notch acceleration and handling, though lacking in max speed compared to some of the cars. It's good enough to have a shot at victory, but it's definitely not an easy win with the Jag, so this was a close, dramatic contest, with a few twists and turns. The second best car in the game is unlocked by winning this tournament.

Note: I paused the game during the first race, just before hitting lap four. I thought it was the final lap, so I instinctively hit pause to reset. My position would have eliminated me, and I didn't want to sit through the results and elimination screens. When I noticed it was only lap three, I unpaused to continue the race.
