UK based First time buyers can buy a house in 2023 by using a new scheme called save to buy, this scheme can work even if you don't have the full deposit.

It can be frustrating to spend money on rent because you are paying your landlord's mortgage instead of your own. However, with this new scheme, the developers agrees fixed payments with you and they are counted towards your deposit.
As with most things, there is an eligibility criteria, you must be a first time buyer with a full time job and pass the assessment by a financial advisor.
I had a look at the houses on their website and at the moment, it looks like the houses are only available in London and Essex. However, this can change as the new developments are listed on the website.
