String Theory is the third single off MONOMONO/IIIOIIOIIIOIIO’s upcoming album ‘Daughter of Data’. The track starts off with lush synths and violins, evoking the feeling of walking around in a parallel universe or in a video game. Layered harmonies of acoustic string instruments (violin, ancient Greek lyre and harp) create an organic foundation and provide an emotional depth to the track. A back and forth movement between screechy strings and very delicate bow movements results in an inescapable melodic groove that pumps up the heartbeat of the listener throughout the track, eliciting a bodily reaction to an overwhelming universe.
