Hello beautiful people! Hip dysplasia is a condition where the ball of the femur does not fully remain in the socket of the pelvis. This can be due to a variety of reasons. Haniya has low tone (hypotonia) and subluxation in one of her legs. The ligaments that would normally hold up the femur into the pelvic joint are lax. This resulted in the underdevelopment of the socket, where it was not deep enough to hold the femur in place. This can either lead to dislocation of the joint or subluxation (partial dislocation). Haniya was prescribed to wear the rhino brace at night. The hip brace keeps the hips abducted or in a more outward position.
