This 1979 Yamaha C7 is a phenomenal piano. The vast majority of those who own Yamaha C7's fall under two categories, firstly, families that are knowledgeable about pianos and take them seriously, secondly, institutions - most commonly recording studios. Yamaha C7s are the standard for recording studios that focus on everything but classical production. This Yamaha is the version of the Steinway B. It's an awesome piano and everyone loves them.
C7s sound and play great and are satisfying pianos to play. In addition, they are joys work on. As piano professionals, these pianos do everything you want them to do. To sum up Yamaha C7s are textbook experiences! For instance, with most pianos you have to take what is written in manuals, adapt with your professional piano experience and apply to each piano. In short, Yamaha C7s are what they say they are! From the action to everything else, the Yamaha C7 is well-designed and built.
Brigham would characterize this Yamaha C7 in A condition. It's simply beautiful! Further, cosmetically, this C7 has a beautiful black, satin-finish on it, the keys are in exceptional condition and all the hardware has been polished and is in proper working order.
Piano Refurbishings
We have done a refurbishing on this 1979 Yamaha C7. Above all, the goal with every refurbishing is to get each piano to function, endure and sound as close to brand new as possible.
As far as functionality-we properly regulate everything and put each piano through an extensive, detailed process. Moreover, we reshape hammers to get them back to their rounded shape and we test and repin anything that needs to be replaced with the correct tightness. In short, we regulate about 12 things, for instance, we regulate the pedals and we level the keys to the proper regulating distance. In addition, we regulate the blow and let-off distance as well as the drop amongst other things. We regulate and calibrate everything ensuring we have the correct touch!
When all 12 or so steps are properly handled and regulated, you get a broad and dynamic range that allows players to play from pianissimo all the way to forte. The color pallet is extensive and the sound just feels good. In conclusion, a proper regulation yields a responsiveness that is ideal for every pianist; the piano can be manipulated to any and every pianists desire.
Of course, it's impossible to get pianos to sound brand new, but here at Brigham Larson Pianos we get pretty darn close!
This 1979 Yamaha C7 is so pristine and a third of a price of what a brand new one would cost. Simply put, this piano sounds great and is a joy to play!
Brigham would ultimately characterize this piano as an awesome value.
