By popular demand, we present a comparison between two recreations of the beautiful and elusive Elka Synthex: the Arturia Synthx V, which was released last month (October 2024) and the Cherry Audio Elka-X, which was released in 2022. We focus specifically on the features the both share in common with each other and the original, including the oscillators, multimode filter and chorus. We also try re-creating a custom patch from the Elka-X on the Synthx.
