Hello viewers, Welcome to my channel. In this video you will see how to make famous Ramassery/Ramasseri idli podi/Chutney powder. Ramassery idli is named after a village Ramassery in Palakkad district,Kerala. This special idli is prepared in an earthern pot and very famous for its softness and taste. Ramassery idli is enjoyed with Ramassery idli podi which is very famous too. It is little different from the regular idli podi /chutney powder /milagai podi usually prepared in south indian households. Red broken rice also known as Kerala kuthari/palakkadan matta rice is added along with pepper, cumin , sesame seeds and curry leaves which gives this idli podi a unique taste. Even raw rice can be added instead of matta rice. Whole urad dal can be substituted with split urad dal .White sesame seeds can also be added instead of black sesame seeds. However matta rice and black sesame seeds are recommended for tasty chutney podi. This powder can be kept in a ziploc bag to lock the aroma and store it in an airtight container. Goes well with any idli ,dosa, adai or even rice. Enjoy the tasty, healthy and delicious ramaserry idli podi /ramassery chutney podi/chutney powder with little ghee/sesame oil/coconut oil /sunflower oil. Thank you for watching my video.
