Interestingly The "Sobukwe Clause" in the General Law Amendment Act of 1963 was a unique apartheid-era law crafted solely to extend Robert Sobukwe's detention without trial, making him the only person in South African history to be imprisoned under a law designed specifically for an individual.

These laws were part of a broader legal framework designed to suppress dissent and maintain the apartheid system.
