Here we have an "on location" first test drive of an insane-o-ized, latest version Stihl ms661c. Near the base of Mt. Emily in north east Oregon - at my friend Laine's custom Trophy pedestal design and build establishment.
As mentioned, this saw is for Mr. Foushee in the mid Sierras. He will be sporting a 36'' or 42'' here shortly. I curious to see what the response will be.
I played around with some alternate electrical and carburetion options and finally landed on the stock coil and carb but used a harness from an older machine I had laying around. Not sure what the rub was with the original one.
After a few test cuts Mr. and myself decided this saw is a beast.
