Former A*STAR chairman Philip Yeo on growing Singapore's biomedical industry

On Aug 21, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong credited former A*STAR chairman Philip Yeo for his industriousness in growing Singapore's biomedical industry. Mr Yeo persuaded big names in the field globally - nicknamed "whales" - talent scouting them to move to Singapore and train and mentor "guppies" or young scholars. CNA spoke to Mr Yeo, who shared how he persuaded some of the "whales" to come here and how Singapore can continue to attract top talent.
