(12) Preserved GM Buses South Northern Counties Leyland Atlantean: A706 LNC

Back on the 8th of this month, I attended Museum of Transport Greater Manchester's final Christmas Cracker event - With the sad recent announcement that the event won't be returning for 2025.

This Northern Counties bodied Atlantean from 1984, was new to Greater Manchester Passenger Executive as their 8706, and lived a relatively quiet life, based out of Stockport for it's entire operational career. Deregulation in 1994 lead to it being owned by GM Buses South, which later became Stagecoach Manchester in 1996, and then 4706 was withdrawn from traffic and preserved in 1997 by the museum, who have owned it ever since.

Enjoy some thrash into Manchester City Centre, on roads once dominated by Atlanteans and the like.
