Welcome to The Jaklin Kitchen.
Kibbeling is a very popular Dutch snack consisting of pieces of fish deep fried in a batter and served with a variety of different sauces to suit the taste of the diner. Here, we’ve popped a few spices onto the fish before frying to lift the flavour. We’re sure you’ll love this. The sauces we’re serving it with contains Toum - our Garlic sauce and the link to that recipe is at the bottom of the page here. We hope you enjoy.
Ingredients:
750 Gr White fish fillet (Cod, Haddock etc)
For the Spice Coating-
2 Tsp Celery Salt
½ Tsp Ground Turmeric
½ Tsp Ground Black Pepper
½ Tsp Paprika
½ Tsp Garlic Powder
¼ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
¼ Tsp Ground Ginger
¼ Tsp Grated Nutmeg
For the Batter-
350 Gr Flour
2 Eggs
250 Ml Lager
250 Ml Milk
2 Tbsp Roxck or Sea Salt
For the Sauce-
125 Ml Mayonnaise
152 Ml Toum
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
