今から50年程前、高校生の頃にアコースティックギターの響きを求めてBert Jansch、John Renbourn らのBritish FolkやカナダのBruce Cockburn、アメリカのニューエイジミュージック、Windham Hill レーベルのAlex de Grassi 、William Ackermanその他のギタリストに聴き入り。

そして更にそのルーツを辿りラグタイムやRobert Johnsonや Blind Blake などに代表される1920年代のカントリーブルースのレコードなども集め。

雨が降っているようなノイズの中に微かに聞こえる唸るような歌声とギターの音色に耳を澄ませ、日々コピーに明け暮れていたものです。

この楽曲も確か何処かで聴いたような気がするのですが、、

普段は殆ど手にしないボトルネックを使って弾いてみました。
ギターはオーソドックスなOpen D Tuning。

About 50 years ago, when I was in high school, I was searching for the sound of the acoustic guitar and listened to British Folk music by Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, Canada's Bruce Cockburn, American New Age music, Alex de Grassi and William Ackerman of the Windham Hill label, and other guitarists。

I then traced back further to its roots, collecting records of ragtime and 1920s country blues by artists like Robert Johnson and Blind Blake.

I would listen closely to the growling vocals and guitar tones that could be faintly heard amidst the rain-like noise, and spend my days trying to copy them.

I'm sure I've heard this song somewhere before...

I tried playing it using a bottleneck guitar, which I rarely use.

The guitar is tuned in classic open D.

Enjoy it with a bourbon in hand (lol)
