After such a long time, I've finally recorded the solo vibraphone arrangement I've done for this great tune from Tânia Maria: YatraTa, from the Album "Piquant" (1980) which won the "Golden Leonard Feather" Award.
Tânia Maria, this amazing singer and jazz pianist was born in São Luís do Maranhão, North of Brazil. She started playing music from a very young age and has built a great carrier as a band leader, she's recorded over 25 Albums and has played in many important jazz festivals around the world.
The diverse influences from pop melodies, complex jazz harmonies as well as funk, soul and samba rhythms are reflected in her music.
