Jia (Kim Chiu) begins her probe into the events leading to Adam's (Christopher de Leon) death, only to spot a CCTV footage showing Dana (Yam Concepcion) demanding files from her assistant. Jia storms into Dana's office and discovers a missing piece of evidence among her half-sister's belongings. As Lucy (Eula Valdez), David (Xian Lim), and the police get involved, the group works together to uncover the mysterious series of events surrounding the missing hard drive. Behind the scenes, Amanda (Ruffa Gutierrez) and Gab (Karl Gabriel) keep a close watch on the investigation from afar.

The Wongs' and Estrellas' doubts against the Del Mundos deepen when they learn about their sudden disappearance. Caught between a rock and a hard place, Amanda decides to face her and Gab's problems head on in hopes of proving their innocence. Meanwhile, Lucy is filled with anguish over the weight of Adam's betrayals. As the Del Mundos testify to the police, the Wongs' lives are suddenly turned upside down.

As Lucy's trial begins, Adam's three lovers testify their versions of the night of his tragic death. During the court proceedings, Jia becomes suspicious when she takes note of Gab's nervousness. Meanwhile, Amanda tries to make sure that nothing will stand in the way between her and Adam's inheritance. Heartbroken over the ordeals her family is going through, Dana reaches out to David for support.
