Prohibition Shave; I’m off to a secret jazz club, invitation only and it’s a small place, tiny, so I always feel like I’m in 1920’s New York when I go to these events. It’s BOYB, so I have a hip flask with some bourbon in it and love sipping away during the set.
I went for what I feel is as close I could to a New Yorker’s shave in 1924… how’d I do?
The razor was sublime and I really enjoyed the break from the world, yes it’s fifteen minutes, but it’s fifteen minutes of me time, all me!!! This is why I enjoy straights, the focus, the feel, the escape. This is why I had to change things about a bit and start doing a straight specific video every week. The last twenty-four hours have been an absolute high, then the wife’s stress smashing everything and reminding me that no matter how balanced I think everything is, it’s balancing on a knife edge… one I sharpened!
