Two American cruise passengers died Friday in separate drowning incidents at Carnival Cruise Line’s new private destination, Celebration Key, on Grand Bahama Island.

Royal Caribbean has named research astronaut Kellie Gerardi as godmother of its newest ship, Star of the Seas.

Captain Gennaro Arma led testing and now oversees a 1,600-member crew preparing the ship for launch. Built by Fincantieri, it’s the second LNG-powered vessel in the Princess fleet and features advanced propulsion for precise maneuvering.
