Civil Defence Mock Drill Conducted at Shanti Gyan Niketan Junior School
As a part of the Civil Defence Mock Drill Preparation Guide for Citizens issued by the Government of India, a mock drill was successfully conducted at Shanti Gyan Niketan Junior School to familiarise the junior school children with emergency preparedness during air raids.
The Junior Wing Incharge, Mrs Bhakti Sharma, addressed the students during the morning assembly. She explained the significance of air raid warning sirens and the importance of staying calm and following safety protocols during such emergencies.
To simulate a real-life situation, air raid warning sirens were honked multiple times, prompting students to respond swiftly by taking shelter in designated safe zones. The junior students actively participated by hiding under their desks or taking cover behind pillars during the mock drill
