In Episode 003 of Straight From The Athletes, we sit down with Pheonix Godinet, one of rugby league’s most exciting young prospects.
Pheonix is a dynamic second-rower currently part of the Wests Tigers pathways program, making waves with his strong running, aggressive defence, and unwavering work ethic.
Originally from Bass High School, he’s represented NSW Schoolboys and was selected for the 2025 Australian Schoolboys squad, a huge honour for any young player.
After facing setbacks early in his journey (including being overlooked by his preferred club twice), Pheonix has stayed determined and focused on achieving his dream: playing in the NRL. His story is one of resilience, family sacrifice, and the relentless pursuit of excellence.
