The best way to describe Hungarian railways in 2025 is a complete mess. With their own fleet of trains constantly breaking down, they’ve had to bring in new locomotives from abroad quickly. In this video, I take a journey behind one of the newly imported used locomotives from France, in one of Europe’s worst long-distance intercity passenger carriages. So come along for the ride as I show you the disappointing state of Hungarian railways in 2025.
