Unique Soundz Roadshow based in ''Wolverhampton'', ''West Midlands'' have been on the "DJ" circuit for the last 10 years. Also abbreviated to USR, the boys released their first album back in 2007 which included the successful "Jatt Sharabi" by Balvir Mann/Jassi, "Jagga" by "Surinder Shinda" and "Udham Singh" by "Angrez Ali". Jatt Shrabi was a remake of the classic version by the great "Mohammed Siddiq" and "Ranjit Kaur". With the previous album release, USR became an household name due to being one of the first producers to bring back the "DESI" into music videos. Traditional "bhangra" "dancers" "Gabru Panjab De" and "Gidha Dancers" were used at a time where all music videos were typically based around "clubs" and "alcohol". Radio station "interviews" were conducted on a frequent level with "Bobby Friction" charting "Jagga Remix" high up in his charts. "BBC" asian network set a platform also with Interviews for different shows, followed by other radio stations like "Panjab Radio", "Raaj FM" and "Sunrise" picking up on interviews also. "Zee Tv" broadcasted a television interview on Jus "Bhangra" which allowed the public to grasp an insight on history, current and future USR plans.
On the roadshow front, USR have circulated most of UK and Europe, even dropped sets in Asia in the 10 years in the game. On the wedding scene, USR have had the experience of performing alongside top "Punjabi" singers from the UK and India as part of their wedding shows. "Miss Pooja", "Preet Brar", "Kuldip Manak", "ADH", "Nirmal Sidhu", "Jazzy B", "Apna Sangeet" just to name a few.
Moviebox who support the releases of artists with the likes of "Jazzy B", "Sukshinder Shinda", "Geeta Zaildar" and "Aman Hayer" to name a few are now supporting USR for their new single ft Nirmal Sidhu, the guy behind the hits "Rarke", "Sher Punjabi" and "Char Panj".
This track Yaar was originally produced to be your norm Punjabi track with "Dhol" and "Tumbi", however a productive session in the studio recreated the vibes. USR experimented an electric guitar fusion with the desi sounds and come up with a unique blend of raw energy and fast hitting beats. Production took nearly a year from the initial penning the track with "Balraj Sidhu". The lyricist who is also the man behind the great Aman Hayer track "Nachdi de" by angrez Ali and "PBN" Nachdi by Sanjay Dhaliwal has put together great catchy lyrics for the public to sing along too. The lyrics are based around the power of Bhangra, where in this situation it looks at the authority of people dancing and the whole world will stand back when Bhangra dancers perform.
The video itself features the super "fast" "Bugatti Veyron" supplied by bathcastle.com, USR, Nirmal Sidhu, "sexy" "model" (Purnima), "Steve" from "DCS", Bally the "Dhol Player" and "UCL"/"LSE" Bhangra Dancers! The idea behind the video was to again take it away from the norm and give the public something new. It has a "Rock"/"Punk" edge vibe and at the same time keeping the Punjabi roots. The video has been influenced by "the way i are" by "Timbaland" and "Keri Hilson" and CD cover design by "Tinie Tempah" "Disc-overy".
This full video has been uploaded now due to a great response to the video trailer which attracted over 4 thousand views in just a week and also a solid Brit Asia TV response. Hope you guys enjoy what you see and this is an example of the quality you will see in the forthcoming USR album
