On the one hand, Hernández de Córdoba maintained a first formal contact with the Mayans, on the other hand, Luther inaugurated the emergence of a new theology: the Protestant Reformation. And in the Mediterranean, the dispute between Muslims and Christians was intensified by the Ottoman consolidation, threatening the western territories.
