DIY Workbench and grinder stand build

Описание: Join me as I build a workbench (60 cm x 204 cm) and three grinder/drill press stands all for under €150.

Workbench materials:
One generic kitchen countertop (60x204 cm) purchased from Obi for €70.
12 meters 30x30x2 square tubing (total price for all of the steel used in these projects was €70)
8 threaded inserts (6mm x 10mm)
8 bolts (6mm x 55 mm)
8 flat washers 6 mm

Work stand materials:
3- 1 meter square tube 70mm x 70mm x 3mm
I bought 3 meters of 30x30x2 angle iron (I had some left over)
One steel plate 7 mm thick that was 50cm x 30 cm

The workbench build was simple. I cut two lengths of the square tubing to match the long sides of the countertop (204 cm). I laid them out on the bottom of the countertop and measured for the cross tubes. I cut the cross tubes (52 cm) and tacked the corners, squared the frame, and welded the entire thing. I cut four legs to 78 cm and tacked one on each corner, making sure they were plumb. I tacked lower cross braces across the side and rear legs 15 cm from the floor. I squared it all up, made sure it was plumb, and welded it solid. I cut corner braces for the rear legs and frame and welded those braces in. I set the completed frame on the countertop and marked holes to drill for the bolts. I drilled the holes, reset the frame on the countertop and made sure it was where I wanted it, and marked the holes to drill in the countertop. I drilled those holes, stuck in the inserts and bolted the whole thing up. Frame was painted gloss black with a rattle can. It took me 6 hours total.
