Intellivision Sprint - Is It Better Than the Original 1979 Console?

Описание: The Intellivision Sprint is the definitive modern version of the Intellivision console for both nostalgic fans and curious newcomers. It has the ability side load extra games via USB and that combined with the high-quality wireless controllers as well as the HDMI output make it the single biggest advancement of the Intellivision since the console's original release. It does carry premium price tag and many continue to knock the lack of physical cartridge support. The 45 included Intellivision games, while including the classics opts not to include the majority of the Intellivision 3rd party offerings from Activision, Imagic, Parker Bros, and Atarisoft which are some of the classics on the Intellvision platform. (While not confirmed by Atari or Plaion, like the choice to leave out the 3rd Party Games could have more to do with keeping the price down!) While not a FPGA solution, the SoC (System On A Chip) does a good job a delivering proven Intellivision emulation that delivers smooth playable output over HDMI. While the fimrware could use some additional polish, if anything we have learned from the 2600+/7800+ that updating and fixing the firmware is a high priority and the console will continue to get updates. When you combine the Authentic Hardware Design, Upgraded Controllers, High-Quality Overlays for both controllers, Modern Quality of Life Improvements, and perhaps best of all you have the ability to add games to the console. It is "Authentic" Intellivision Experience and I would highly recommend it.
