Life in a marina in winter isn't much fun - even if it is in the Mediterranean. We're spending our second winter in Almerimar after our attempts to sail the Atlantic last season were thwarted by maintenance and health issues. So we put the kids in a local bi-lingual school and slowly worked our way through our maintenance list. There were plenty of parties and BBQs with our fellow live-aboard cruisers between the storms and Santa even brought us wetsuits in time for a Christmas day swim... oh, and an Optimist Dinghy for the kids!

A trip to Benidorm and a visit from a Spanish galleon made for a VERY enjoyable Christmas and New Year break, but it's now back to the grind before the new season begins!
