Gold and silver prices have increased sharply during the wedding season, making jewellery more expensive for buyers. Amid rising global geopolitical tension and the Venezuela crisis, precious metals have once again seen a strong rally.

On MCX, gold prices jumped by over ₹2,400 per 10 grams, while silver prices surged by nearly ₹13,500 per kg. Experts believe that due to the Venezuela crisis, dollar index movement, and global uncertainty, gold prices may cross ₹1.5 lakh and silver may touch ₹2.75 lakh in the coming days.

International markets are also showing strong momentum, with Comex gold and silver futures trading at record highs. Apart from Venezuela, factors like Russia-Ukraine uncertainty, US Fed interest rate cut expectations, and rising retail demand are also pushing prices higher.
