Recently Paul, a customer, published a Tiege Hanley review all on his own. When Aaron was sent the link, he was so nervous because some people derive so much satisfaction from being negative, and he's put his heart-and-soul into Tiege Hanley. But THIS review ... this review was simply spectacular, and Paul doesn't even have a horse in the race! This video is so special to Tiege Hanley, including how Paul really explains things and why he likes them. It's one thing to have a company's owners getting the message out. But to have this type of positive review is absolutely incredible.

Why Involve Employees in Decision Making

Encouraging employees to own their job, become involved in company decisions, and control their future in the company is advantageous for morale, productivity, team cohesion, and innovation. A company should cultivate a culture of autonomy if the goal is for employees to take ownership in their jobs. Case-in-point is Mario in Tiege Hanley's shipping department where he pre-packages and racks domestic and international levels. The problem is that so many boxes are getting sent out, Mario can't keep up. He's able to pre-package that day but never gets ahead. Further, if Mario is unable to work (for example, sick), Kelley will be in a serious predicament.

Since Mario is part of the team and they want him as part of the process, Kelley posed the issue to Mario and asked him if he had a solution. Mario came up with a solution which includes assembling a team and compensation which includes incentivizing (per unit packed). This option is fantastic for Tiege Hanley as inventory levels will be pre-packed with shelves full, and if Mario is out of work, packing is covered. Ask and you shall receive!
