You can hire jeeps from balakot, Jeep rates to shankiari hutt are quite reasonable
It will take half an hour to reach Ghanool stop
From there onwards its truly a 4 by 4 Road
It will take about one and half hour to reach shankari hutt from Ghanool stop which is located on man Naran Kagahan Road.
It is truly a point where families can go no
Road is not in very good condition but it is OK for Jeep.
You can stay overnight but you can come back to mansehra in a day trip
if you are travelling from Islamabad it will take three hours to reach balakot and
further two hours to reach shankari hutt.
Local people are very much hospitable and you have got very good camping sites where you can stay overnight.
Don't disturb the nature, keep Pakistan clean and green
