In this episode, we will trek to the pristine Serolsar Lake, starting our journey from Chandigarh, en-route Bilaspur-Mandi-Aut to finally reach Tirthan Valley in Himachal Pradesh.

The monsoon season allows one to see the lush green landscape, at times enveloped in clouds, playing hide and seek. The Tirthan River is in full flow, and marks her presence with echoing sound in the valley.

Serolsar Lake Trek is a popular trekking destination located in the Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. The trek takes you through beautiful forests, serene meadows, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The highlight of the trek is reaching the serene Serolsar Lake, a pristine alpine lake nestled amidst the lush green landscape.

Location: It is in Tirthan Valley of Himachal Pradesh, located 75 km away from Kullu. The lake is situated at an altitude of 10,170 ft. To access the lake, you’ve to trek for 5 km. The trek starts from Jalori Pass, the highest altitude point that connects Kullu valley and Shimla Valley.

Adjacent to the lake, there is a small temple dedicated to Goddess Budhi Nagin, who is believed to be the guardian deity of the lake. This temple adds a spiritual touch to the natural beauty of the area.

The trekking trail and the surroundings are rich in biodiversity. You might encounter various species of birds, including pheasants, and other small animals during the trek.
