The BEST of Northern and Central CROATIA by motorcycle touring (we almost got the BIKE STUCK!)

Описание: The adventure continues in CROATIA! After crossing the border from Slovenia on 5th June 2022, we spend a week touring North and Central Croatia, 2up on our BMW R1200GSA. If you are planning on touring Croatia by motorbike (or car/van!), these are some of the highlights we would recommend:

1. MOTOVUN - beautiful small old town perched atop a hill, also famous for white truffle!
2. ROVINJ - charming little coastal town, worth a quick visit to explore a bit.
3. PULA - the Area is a must see, one of the best preserved Roman Amphitheaters in the world!
5. Road 66 - start at Plomin and drive this amazing coastal route towards Opatija (watch out for the local bikers!).
4. UCKA PASS - an incredibly fun riding road, located at UčkaNature Park, head towards Učka Tunnel, then avoid it and instead take the mountain pass up and over towards Brest.
5. KRK ISLAND - great place for a few nights camping, near beautiful beaches and olive trees lining the hills. Very relaxing.
6. PLITVICE NATIONAL PARK - this was our favourite place to see in Croatia and must not be missed! The waterfall and lakes are just breathtaking! A bit expensive to enter, but the park is laid out very well with paths that take you up close to the waterfalls, and give you panoramic views from the cliff tops, plus there is a boat and bus included in the price to help get around.
7. TROGIR - a gorgeous old town on an island, with a suepryacht dock right outside. This is where the money comes! But we thought one of the most beautiful old towns in North/Central Croatia.
8. KRKA NATIONAL PARK - similar to Plitvice, but a bit smaller, cheaper, and still well worth visiting! The waterfalls are stunning. Also, you are supposedly allowed to swim here!
