The first week of the Pennine Way in August 2024.
I had a base weight of around 7kg and was using the Zpacks Nero 38l for the second time. I found it perfect, so comfortable and had no need of a hipbelt even with heavy food and water carries that took the overall weight above 10kg on occasion.
The Durston X Mid 1 with the mesh interior was also perfect for this trip and my sleep system of the brilliantly comfy Big Agnes Rapide SL insulated regular wide pad and the cosy Nordisk Oscar Curve -2 sleeping bag meant I slept well almost every night.
