European Studies at UCD is a dynamic and interdisciplinary BA Humanities course that explores the rich cultures, histories, and politics of Europe. Students have the opportunity to choose between studying French, German, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese and take modules exploring European cultures and change, including migration, integration and identity.
Taught by leading academics, the programme combines history, literature, languages, and more offering small group language classes, study abroad opportunities, and hands-on research.
This degree equips students with valuable skills in research, communication, and intercultural understanding, preparing them for careers in diplomacy, international organisations, media, and beyond.
