While the Karnataka government prepares to extend the Covid-19 lockdown in the state, with an official announcement expected on Wednesday evening, B Y Vijayendra, the son of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, defied the rules and went to a temple with his wife. People are not allowed to travel between districts or visit religious sites under the state's new lockdown laws. B Y Vijayendra paid a visit to the historic Nanjangud temple on Tuesday, surrounded by police, and stayed inside for about 30 minutes.
