Perkedel Kentang (Potato Fritters)
crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – these perkedel kentang are the perfect snack or side dish!
Ingredients:
• 1 kg potatoes
• 2 eggs
• 2 spring onions
• 4 stalks celery
• 1 tsp pepper
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 tbsp granulated mushroom (optional)
• Olive oil
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes. Coat them in oil and bake for 45 minutes.
3. Chop the celery and spring onions finely.
4. Once the potatoes are done, mash them with a fork or pestle until smooth. Add the celery, spring onion, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
5. Take a spoonful of the potato mixture and shape it as shown in the video (don’t make it too thick). Repeat until all the potatoes are used.
6. Heat oil in a pan.
7. In a small bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them.
8. Dip the potato into the whisked eggs until fully coated, then fry in the pan. Flip until golden brown, drain, and serve.
