앞으로는 강이 흐르고 한여름에도 시원한 나무 그늘이 있어서 울산 근교 나들이를 하기에도 좋다. 선바위 공원은 넓게 조성되어 있어, 경치를 보며 산책이나 운동도 하고, 피크닉도 즐길 수 있다. 선바위 공원은 나무들이 많아 햇살을 가려주는 그늘도 가득하다. 선바위 바로 옆에 태화강 생태관이 있어서 함께 둘러보기 좋다.

백룡(白龍)이 살았다는 태화강 상류 백룡담 푸른 물 속에 있는 기암괴석이다. 깎아지른 듯 우뚝 서 있는 바위라 하여 선바위(立石)라 부른다. 높이는 33.3m(수면 위 21.2m, 수면 아래 12.1m)이고, 수면 위 둘레는 46.3m, 바위 꼭대기 부분의 폭은 2.9m이다.

울주군 범서읍의 대표적인 관광지로, 예로부터 빼어난 경치에 시인 묵객들이 즐겨 찾았다고 한다. 선바위를 마주보는 벼랑 위에는 학성이씨(鶴城李氏)의 정자인 용암정(龍岩亭)과 선암사(仙岩寺)가 있다. 선바위를 기점으로 태화강 십리대밭이 펼쳐진다.

It is a strange rock in the blue water of Baekryongdam in the upper stream of the Taehwa River, where the white dragon lived. It is called Seonbawi Rock because it stands tall as if it were shaved. It is 33.3 meters high (21.2 meters above the water surface and 12.1 meters below the water surface), 46.3 meters around the surface, and 2.9 meters wide at the top of the rock.

It is a representative tourist destination in Beomseo-eup, Ulju-gun, and it has been enjoyed by poet Mo-tzu due to its outstanding scenery since ancient times. On the cliff facing Seonbawi Rock, there are Yongamjeong Pavilion and 仙 Temple, the pavilion of Hakseong Yi Clan. Starting from Seonbawi Rock, the Taehwa River Sipridae Field unfolds.
