Aircraft Emergency Exit Door Alerting System (AEEDAS)
Aircraft emergency exit doors ease passenger to escape from the plane if unwanted occurrence happen. Unfortunately, few incidents happened related to bad behaviour passenger. According to recent reports, there were three incidents involving inappropriate passenger behaviour that occurred on aeroplane emergency exit doors. Aircraft Emergency Exit Doors Alerting System (AEEDAS) was invented to improve the security/safety of the emergency exit on the aircraft. The objectives are to design safety system on the emergency exit door, to develop a fully functional security system and to demonstrate the mechanism of AEEDAS. A sensor been place to the emergency exit doors, once passenger touch the sensor, alarm will sound and aware the flight crew. An email notification also will automatically be sent to the management to alert occurrence is happening. The benefits are increase the awareness of the flight crew, reduce the maintenance cost, reduce the risk of emergency exit door mishandling and prevent aircraft delay. As conclusion, AEEDAS improve the safety of aircraft emergency exit door.
