#SOUNDARYA_LAHARI, is a Hymn composed by #Jagadguru_Ādi_Śaṅkarācārya. This extraordinary poem consists of a total of 100 verses. The legend of Soundarya lahari is often substantiated by the distinct difference that is present in the two sets of verses. #Ānanda_Lahari (Verse1 to Verse 41) & Soundarya Lahari (42 to 100).

This school of thought has massive acceptance among the #Sanskrit Scholars, Students and Enthusiasts. The first forty-one verses deal with the #Mantra, #Yantra and #Tantra practices of Śākta Cult. The principles of #Kundalini #Yōga are also elaborately dealt with. These verses are on a metaphysical plain, describing the philosophical and #spiritual aspects of #Śakti worship.

A notable feature of this set of verses is that the verses are not interlinked in any way, they stand apart. The language is also highly transcendental in nature. These verses are believed to be written by the #Lord himself and gifted to #Shankara.

This part is also known as ĀNANDA LAHARI, the Waves of Bliss.
The second part is composed as an adulation of #Dévi’s beauty, from Her crown to toe, by Śankarāchārya himself, as he envisioned Dévi. This set of verses makes generous use of #Alankāra (figures of speech) of Sanskrit #poetics.
